Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who offers experienced counseling in a safe, comfortable space, to couples and individuals (18+) with a variety of mental health concerns. Her specialties include: trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, relationship concerns and loss. Over the past 30 years, Michelle has practiced therapy in many unique counseling settings. In 2021, she chose to open her own solo private practice in Mahomet, IL--Healthy Minds Counseling, PLLC. Michelle now practices in an inviting and convenient location in Bloomington, Illinois. Telehealth appointments are also available. Through the world renowned Amen Clinic, Michelle received her certification as a Brain Health Coach. This has provided her with unique tools and insights into the neurobiology of mental wellness and brain health. Additionally, she is trained in and is actively practicing EMDR treatments for trauma and PTSD. For couples work and relationships concerns, Michelle often utilizes the Gottman Method based on decades of research from Drs. John and Julie Gottman.
